- Elizabeth has been dragging her rocking chair into the kitchen to watch me cook, and then dragging her regular chair in too to use as a footstool.
- The stovetop pieces are clean! I tried lots of your ideas. The one that finally worked (there was a LOT of really burned on stuff) was to use Easy Off Oven Cleaner on them. BUT I had to use the hot oven cleaning method. Just spraying it on there made no difference. So I put all the stove pieces into the oven, preheated it to 200 degrees, turned it off, sprayed the stuff in, waited fifteen minutes, and then scrubbed. And then I had to do it again. But the stove is clean now.
- Anyone ever had an experience with a diaper rash that is little blisters? Farah? Isn’t that what happened to MT when he had his allergic reaction to milk?
- I’ve been cleaning so much lately that all the skin is coming off of my thumb.
- I got an embroidery sewing machine for my Etsy shop (thanks, Mom!) But I tried to do embroidery on a newborn onesie last night and the sewing machine ate it. I think embroidery is going to have to be on bigger kid clothes. Or at least until I get really good at it. (I did make a 2T shirt that says “Elizabeth” on it and that turned out really well.)
- Speaking of things that were eaten by sewing machines, does anyone have a need for a newborn sized onesie that says “Caden…” and then has a big hole in it? I will make you a fantastic deal.
- My mom is getting me a steam mop for my birthday and I am embarrassingly excited about it.
- Speaking of steam mops, this blog is no longer sponsored by Swiffer. The Swiffer Wet Jet that they sent me for free broke, as did the one I bought myself. So I am no longer quite as big of a Swiffer fan as they did not hold up to my cleaning standards.
- I used my Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to clean a crayon mark off my kitchen floor. This turned out to be a big mistake. Now I have a clean spot in the middle of the kitchen floor. I did not realize how dirty the linoleum was until there was a clean spot. Now I have to hope that my new (and not yet received) steam mop cleans the floor well enough or I am going to have to Magic Erase the entire floor to make it match. I already got on my hands and knees with rags and scrubbed by hand, but that did nothing.
- The house is so dirty that I am cleaning with chemicals. I will go back to cleaning with things like baking soda and elbow grease when I remove the layer of dirt that the old owners left on it.
