Today I went to Moe’s for lunch (for the first time ever) and had a burrito. The woman in front of me was paying for her $23.95 meal. She looked at her credit card receipt and asked the teenager behind the counter, “did you do this right? It says $3.95.” He had mistyped it, so he rang her up again. I was very impressed with her honesty.
Then I sat down at my table and read my receipt. I was undercharged by a dollar. I probably should have gone back up and corrected the problem, but there was a long line, we were late for naptime, and I didn’t feel like all that effort. I did tip the guy a dollar, even though that isn’t the same thing (and I did it before I noticed). Maybe I’ll pay them extra next time.
