If you remember, my New Year’s Resolution was to “Do It Now” (and if you don’t remember, I am telling you now). Basically, I intended to stop putting things off and do them right away. Don’t wait to wipe off the high chair, do it as soon as I get her out of it. Put the socks in the laundry basket as soon as I take them off instead of going back later to pick them up.
I officially declare myself successful! This has become a habit and I rarely even have to think “do it now” to myself.  I’ve gotten really good at it as a lifestyle change, so I am officially complete with that resolution. (Exception: laundry. Sigh. I am going to eventually make this a separate resolution unto itself. I’m better than I was, but not there yet.)
So, I am starting a new resolution now. (And no, it is not the laundry one, even though it probably should be.) This resolution is going to be “Stay Caught Up.” I know this seems fairly similar to my “do it now” but now I am talking about big tasks that you can’t do immediately. I keep a yellow file box next to my computer with all the in-progress tasks in it. I am going to try to keep it current. For example, right now it is full of bills that I have to pay and receipts that I have to enter into the budget. It has Elizabeth’s drawings that I’ve been meaning to mail to the relatives and our DirecTV “refer a friend” program that I’ve been meaning to blog about. (Which I shall now check off the list. Is anyone planning to get DirecTV? Email me first and you get a $100 credit and I get a $100 credit. I think I can do this five times or something like that. There, I am done with that one. I mean, I figured if anyone was going to do it anyway, we might as well both benefit.)
Okay, where was I? That’s right. I am going to keep up with the big tasks. I resolve it!
Anyone else have any Mid-Year’s Resolutions to join me?
