Today marks one month since Luke was born. It seems so long and so short at the same time.
I woke up sick this morning. I have a sore throat. Elizabeth was coughing in her sleep too, so I suspect she has the same sore throat. We are staying home for a few days to avoid infecting other people.
I’m actually surprised that it took me this long to get sick. When I get stressed, my immune system is the first thing to go. I actually don’t feel THAT horrible, but we are still going to take it easy for a few days.
Elizabeth is still in her pajamas and she is lying down in her swimming pool full of beans. Yesterday, she dumped a cup of water into it (what? She thinks water belongs in swimming pools) so I have to throw away the beans when we are done with them instead of storing them like usual. So I left it out last night so that she could get a good solid playtime out of it first. I highly recommend this as a toddler activity, if you don’t mind sweeping beans off the floor. (These are dried garbanzo beans and by far the easiest ones to clean up. Rice is the worst.)
