Things I Thought Of While I Had No Internet

Gak.  My internet has been broken for like three days.  The only post that got put up was the one that was already finished and on auto-post.  (I sometimes do that if I am not sure if I am going to add anything else.  I’ll finish it and then give it a day or two to simmer.  I set it to auto-post and let it post itself if I don’t think of anything else to add.  But I almost never do this, it was quite a coincidence that I did it right before I lost internet.)  I’ve been able to get on Twitter and email a little, but not really anything that requires any kind of heavy duty internet signal.  I had ONE internet bar.  ONE.  I don’t know how I survived.  This morning, the internet guy came out and fiddled with things and I had all five internet bars back soon.

Elizabeth is currently crying because she doesn’t want the pumpkin I bought her at the store just now to be a big pumpkin.  She wants it to be a baby pumpkin.  For the record, it is a small pumpkin, but not a tiny pumpkin.  A little smaller than Elizabeth’s head.  Also, she picked it out herself.  So, kid, you knew what size it was going to be when you got it.

I made cherry limeade from scratch this morning.  And let me just say- YUM.  (Recipe- one cup sugar, one cup water.  Heat until sugar dissolves.  Add three more cups water, one cup lime juice, and some grenadine.  If you are making for someone other than yourself and your two year old, float some lime slices and some cherries in it.)

We have a family wedding next summer.  Elizabeth is supposed to be the flower girl.  She has a book, Eloise at the Wedding, which is one of her current favorites.  Quite stupidly, I mentioned to her that her aunt and uncle were going to get married soon.  GAH.  Now she’s obsessed.  She keeps telling me that her auntie will be a white princess and wear white click clock shoes and Dibits will be an Eloise princess and wear Eloise click clock shoes and she will have a flower crown and carry a basket with flowers and etc.  I had to email my future sister-in-law and ask her what she is actually planning for the wedding so that I can tell Elizabeth real details so that she doesn’t end up sobbing at the real wedding because she is not actually allowed to wear a pink bathrobe.  (Eloise is the flower girl in her pink bathrobe.  You know.)

ARGH.  Why must everyone want something from me every second of the day?
