Elizabeth just told me “I need a snack! Yes! A snack! A candy cane would be good!” (Candy canes are not an acceptable snack. She knows this. How about a cracker?)
Elizabeth often uses “it is too much” when she is overwhelmed with something. When Matt and I want to tease her, we say something like “shall we go get some ice cream? No, it would be too much!” And she holds up her fingers close together and says “no, it would be only a yittle too much! Just a yittle!”
What? This is a perfectly acceptable place to store stickers.
When singing the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme song, if Matt or I tries to sing along with her, she says “NO! You do do-do-do-do-to-do-do.” She wants us to sing the percussion back-up for her.
Elizabeth just tried to climb on to the folding table and it fell over. She came over to me, not crying, but not not-crying either and said “I have an ouchie! I have SEVEN ouchies.” (Five is usually the highest number she can conceive of. Apparently, today we jumped to seven.)
