Randomness

Dibits started making some truly dreadful noises today.  I asked her what in the world she was doing.  She said “shh, these are sleeping noises!”  Apparently, they were supposed to be snores.

We haven’t been sick yet this year!  I give all the credit to the fact that I cut way back on moms club activities during the peak sickness months.  Now, knock on wood that I can continue this non-sickness streak.  Last year, we were sick soooo many times.

This morning, I put a sliced apple on the counter, declared it to be mine, and forbade Elizabeth to eat any of it.  Obviously, she ate the whole thing.  But she’s still a sweet girl, so she saved the last slice for me.

Setting an alarm on my phone for the “start getting ready for bed” time was the greatest thing I ever did.  Elizabeth disagrees.  In related news, she’s been sleeping way better since we got back from vacation.  We think she appreciates being back to her own house and crib.

I put a twin mattress on the floor of Elizabeth’s room.  It’s the first step to moving her out of her crib.  Our thought is that we’d like her to be moved into a real bed before our vacation in June because she doesn’t really fit into portable cribs anymore and that is all hotels ever have.  But we don’t really care.  I am in no rush for her to sleep in a real bed.  She can sleep in her crib until she gets too long for it for all I care.  Every night, we read a story on the new mattress and every night she says “maybe tomorrow!” in a happy sing song voice.
