Fairy Hunt

by HereWeGoAJen on March 5, 2013

Today’s planned activities were canceled, so we went grocery shopping and then ran some errands. But after that Elizabeth needed some proper playtime. It was all rainy outside so I had to come up with something.

Sometimes my brilliance impresses even myself.

We went on a fairy hunt. Elizabeth covered her eyes (and hid in the closet so perhaps the eye hiding wasn’t entirely necessary) and I hid some of her fairy toys around the house. Then she got a net and a flashlight and we went looking for them.

Obviously she wore her princess dress and her wings.

Once we caught them in the net, we put them in a jar so they couldn’t escape. (Yeah, it gets a little sadistic here.)

Elizabeth had a really great time and even hid some for me to find.

I covered my eyes while she hid them, but I stayed in the pantry. You know, where I keep the chocolate.

You are clearly brilliant. Yet another instance I wish you were my next door neighbor.

Cool! Hiding things is great fun around our house too, but we’ve never done a proper fairy hunt!

How fun! We’ve done hide and seek with toys, but not nearly this organized. Also, love that you stayed in the pantry, near the chocolate :)

Excellent idea. I need more games where I can hide for awhile in the chocolate area.

That is a spectacular idea. We are low on fairies in the house of cars and trains, so we may have to go “car shopping”. We occasionally turn off all the lights and go on flashlight scavenger hunts.

I hope you poked holes in the top for those fairies to breathe.
